Vocations

“What is more delightful than this voice of the Lord calling to us? See how the Lord in his love shows us the way of life. Clothed then with faith and the performance of good works, let us set out on this way, with the Gospel for our guide, that we may deserve to see him who has called us to his kingdom (1 Thess. 2:12).” Rule of Saint Benedict, Prologue, verses 19 – 21 (Fry, Timothy, editor. RB 1980, The Rule of St. Benedict. The Liturgical Press, 1981.)

These words from Saint Benedict lift our hearts to hear God’s voice calling us each day. The Benedictine way of life is a continual seeking of God. Through prayer, ministry and communal living, we open ourselves daily to God and God’s will. The decision to accept God’s call to monastic life is not an easy one and you must choose the path that is best for you. Who We Are

We are Catholic Benedictine women committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which impels us to love as he loves, through a common life of prayer, hospitality and ministry. We are a small, tightly-knit community, seeking God together as we follow the Rule of Saint Benedict and the Gospel. Our life revolves around our communal prayer and meals, private prayer and individual ministries. The rhythm of our daily prayer and the rhythm of the liturgical year supports us individually and communally in our vocation. We invite you to visit the monastery and join us in our prayer.
